New Cypherus Encryption Software Protects Right to Digital Privacy

APMsafe.com, Inc. introduces easy-to-use, affordable encryption
technology for files, e-mail and Internet communications

LAS VEGAS (COMDEX) - November 13, 2000 - A new encryption software, Cypherus, was unveiled today with a "Because we all have the right to digital privacy" campaign at Fall COMDEX in Las Vegas. Highlighting the campaign is a scheduled press conference by noted attorney F. Lee Bailey. The conference takes place Tuesday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m. in the Media Facility, Room B, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Silver Lot.

Introduced by APMsafe.com, Inc. (www.apmsafe.com) of Pasadena, CA, Cypherus strongly encrypts files, allows users to send secure e-mail and attachments, has a secure database that that allows users to store confidential information such as PINs, passwords and other codes, and a digital shredder that completely destroys unwanted and confidential data from the hard drive.

"Cypherus challenges the industry benchmark for encryption levels, and the affordable price and ease of use makes this highly secure encryption technology ideal for everyone," said Cypherus Product Manager Jeremy Castro.

While the industry accepted level for symmetric encryption is a 64-bit key, Cypherus goes well beyond this standard. In fact, Cypherus security levels are adjustable to the user's preferences up to the "paranoid" level, which protects data behind a 448-bit encryption key.

An intuitive user interface grants point-and-click access to Cypherus' security functions and makes using encryption, which was a domain reserved for encryption experts, easy for all levels of computer users.

"Whether you're a corporate executive safeguarding your intellectual property or just sending e-mail to friends from home, it is easy to protect your digital privacy with Cypherus," said Castro.

Reports of data theft and loss of proprietary information have become more commonplace, and stories of hackers and laptop thefts are reported almost daily.

"It's simply too easy for someone to get information from your computer," Castro notes. "Cypherus is a tool that was designed to keep your confidential information private."

Cypherus is the first consumer product to be released by APMsafe.com, Inc. The company is presenting its software at booth L209 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
